What is the Age Verification System (k-ID)?
Age verification is a mechanism to comply with regional regulations and provide a safe environment while protecting minor users.
At REALITY, we use a third-party service called k-ID to conduct age verification.
When is age verification required?
It does not apply uniformly to everyone. You will be notified only if there is a possibility that you are under 13 years old, based on reports, statements in streams/chats, self-introductions, etc.
If you are selected, you will be notified via an in-app dialog or notice.
Age Verification Procedure
1. Tap **""Verify""** on the dialog displayed in the app
2. Review the displayed information and tap **""Start Age Verification""**
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to select an age verification method
4. Complete the procedure following the on-screen instructions
Age Verification Deadline and Missed Deadlines
If you are required to verify your age, a completion deadline will be set.
- You can generally use the app until the deadline
- If age verification is not completed by the deadline, your account will be suspended
- Even after suspension, you can resume using the app by completing the age verification
When Age Verification Cannot Be Completed / Fails
If an error occurs on the age verification screen or the procedure does not proceed, please try the following:
- Try again in an area with a good network connection
- Update the app to the latest version
- Check if camera permissions are granted for your device
- If using the camera, try in a bright location
- Wait a while and try again (there may be a limit to the number of attempts)
