What does tapping the hand icon do?

The hand icon is a called the Hey feature.

Send a Hey, and that person will get a push notification. Heys can be sent and received by mutual followers while viewing or in the middle of a stream or to mutual followers from the activities section of the following tab.

Use this to just see what your friends are up to, invite them to watch your stream, or to join in for a collab.
